PROCESS ANALYTICS
In order to be able to offer the right analytical solution for all industrial processes, Siemens has not only systematically revised its own product range, but also considerably expanded its expertise and knowledge trough the purchase of important companies.

From a single analytical device to individual system solutions, Siemens is able to offer the complete range of modern process analytics technology.
By integrating the analytical devices into the Siemens concept of Totally Integrated Automation, the process analytics benefits from the advantages of the threefold integration of communication, system design and data management.


Continuous Process Gas Analytics:
Process gas analyzers are used for the continuous determination of concentration values of one or more gases in a gas mixture in order to control and monitor process flows.
Siemens process analyzers use different physical or electrochemical measuring techniques depending on the application.
Siemens process gas analyzers have been used in the process industry for more than 30 years and are well known for their quality, reliability and measuring accuracy. Extractive or in-situ – the continuous process gas analytics of Siemens is at home in both analytic worlds. Optimum solutions are available for all kind of applications, e.g.
  • probe sampling or in-situ measuring
  • rack or field mounting
  • explosion protection
  • corrosion resistant versions
  • various communication types

For all series 6 process analyzers and the ULTRAMAT23, Ethernet is available as a common communication platform via the TCP/IP protocol or the field bus systems PROFIBUS DP and PROFIBUS PA. In this way, the analyzers can easily be connected to higher-level control systems, creating the basis for an integrated automation and analysis solution.


Process Gas Chromatography:
Many years of experience and innovative technologies in the field of process gas chromatography will be very much to your advantage:
  • For standard process applications: MicroSAM is the smallest explosion-proof online process gas chromatograph from Siemens. Everything needed for separation and detection of the measured sample is integrated into the space of a small platter.
  • For flexible process applications: The Maxum edition II combines a wide variety of modules with a flexible oven concept. It is also ideal for complex applications.
  • For the determination of heating values in the on-line natural gas analysis: SITRANS CV has been especially developed for fast, exact and reliable determination of heating values. Based on the proven MEMS (micro electro mechanical systems) technology of MicroSAM and an operation software which is special designed for fiscal metering purposes the analyzer combines reliable technology with high ease of use.
